I always like reading your posts.

You are asking valid questions. Unfortunately, I don't have good answers.

No, it was not part of the "submission" to Islam. For me it was more like believing naively that Sunrise equities was providing new options for people who wanted to invest in “Sharia Compliant” investments. It probably seems silly now.

Mufti sahib was a respected scholar. At the time, I respected his advice and opinions in this area. I understand my mistakes but it is obviously little late by now.

I don't find your sarcasm unusual. These days it is fashionable to pick on Islam. These thieves used Islam as a way to con Muslim investors. In my humble opinion, it is no different from the capitalist CEOs in this country ripping off American investors and share holders. We humans have very short term memory but does anyone remember Enron. Actually, we don’t even have to go that far back. Just look around what these greedy capitalists on Wall Street have done to people on the main street.

In general, capitalism has served our country well. However, greedy few have exploited this system as well.

In this world, there are capitalists and then there are capitalist pigs. Alas, Salman Ibrahim and his mufti mafia gang decided to follow in the foot steps of capitalist pigs!
